Childhood heroes take multiple forms this summer
While men in uniforms do the unthinkable on baseball diamonds and hardwood floors across the U.S. this summer, another type of superhero and anti-hero will be in uniform invading our movie theaters this summer. Here’s a quick run down of what is coming.
Love your comic books? You’ll get a chance to see a lot of them come to life this summer, for better and for worse.
Green Lantern
Thor
Captain America : The First Avenger
X-Men First Class
Conan The Barbarian
If you really liked other summer blockbuster movies and wish you could find out what your favorite characters are now up to, relax, Hollywood has come out with another sequel. It’s not like they are going to come up with something original!
Transformers: Dark of the Moon,
Pirates of the Caribbean : On Stranger Tides
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Midnight in Paris … Isn’t this Woody Allen’s version of “Wedding Crashers 2”?
For the kids (lots of sequels here too):
Kung Fu Panda 2
Cars 2
Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World
Hoodwinked Too!
The Smurfs
Something a little different for the adults:
Hobo with a Shotgun (this promises to be interesting)
Priest
Everything Must Go
Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark
Cowboys and Aliens
Fright Night
Horrible Bosses
Something for everyone:
Tree of Life
Mr. Popper’s Penguins
The Beaver
Conan O’Brien, Can’t Stop
Something for the ladies:
Bridesmaids
The Help
Love, Wedding, Marriage
Friends with Benefits
Something Borowed
Has anyone seen “The Devil’s Double” movie poster? This looks like a wasted season of “Entourage”.
There’s my quick run down of the summer blockbusters. The movie critic inside of me is not overly excited. The movie fanatic inside of me couldn’t be happier.
