Sports Fans Guard Your Ears, Another Hip-Hop Song for Every Sporting Event

Music fans if you were hoping the electronic voiced hip-hop era was over… guess again. Will.I.Am has added another song to the Top 40 mix, a song sure to be heard at every other sporting event in the United States over the next year.

Be ready for the chant “You can go harder or you can go home” over and over again.

“The Hardest Ever (T.H.E.)” features the Black Eyed Peas Will.I.Am with background vocals by Jennifer Lopez and additional vocals by Mick Jagger. Super Bowl fans get ready; this song seems tailor made for such an event.

In “T.H.E.” Will.I.Am raps about everything from “going to work or being the boss” to “waking up with morning wood”. He even brags about “going hard like a Mother F-ing boner”.

For some unknown reason, other than to hit every musical demographic, Mick Jagger makes an appearance in the song at the very end.

Will does give Jagger and the rest of the Rolling Stones some props in the song by stating “you can be a geek or be a Rolling Stoner”. Guessing Jagger had no choice but to lend his vocals at the end of the song?

In the video Jennifer Lopez does her best Brittany Spears and Beyonce imitation by wearing a skin tight body suit and leotards. J. Lo does not disappoint her audience by showing some gratuitous butt shots throughout.

The rest of the video does not relate to the song, unless traveling on every form of transportation other than a Pogo Stick makes one “hard”?

Will starts off running down a runway, rides a train, and then finishes off with a ride through space with images of J. Lo passing him by. Just as the video concept passes the viewer by.

Good luck getting away from this one sports fans! It will be “hard” to do.
