If You Fail Once, Maybe You Shouldn't Try Again

Over the years we’ve seen what can happen to our favorite celebrities and athletes when they have too many “yes men” or “yes women” in their camp. Bethanie Mattek-Sands is a victim again of the wrong yes people in her corner.

She wore a yellow tennis ball studded dress to a pre-Wimbledon party last week. Her dress was designed by Lady Gaga’s designer, Alex Noble. Well Bethanie is at it again. This time she showed up for her tennis match wearing a “Wimbledon White” outfit with a white tennis ball studded jacket. The jacket seems to be inspired by a kid’s video game… think of a kind but hurtful blowfish swimming around your child’s video game waters. The jacket is complete with white tennis balls, tassels, and spikes. Not really a “tennis” themed outfit.

The good thing for Bethanie is she can auction off her jacket to a female Raiders’ fan from a southern state when football season rolls around this fall. I’m waiting for Bethanie’s tennis racket inspired outfits. She’ll have to wear that one at the U.S. Open. I doubt any other Grand Slam event would even consider letting her leave the dressing room wearing that inspired outfit.

I’m saving the line judges and ball boy jokes for the next outfit.
